Female fertility panel – AMH, FSH, LH, oestradiol, prolactin, TSH. Assessment of ovarian reserve and chances of conception.
The female fertility panel is extended diagnostics for couples trying to conceive and for women who want to consciously plan motherhood. At the heart of the panel is AMH – Anti-Müllerian Hormone produced by ovarian follicles, the best available indicator of ovarian reserve, i.e., the pool of eggs remaining. AMH measurement is not dependent on the day of the cycle and allows an estimation of how much time realistically remains for natural attempts and how the ovaries may respond to stimulation in assisted reproductive procedures. It is complemented by FSH and LH, which provide information on pituitary function, oestradiol reflecting follicular maturation, prolactin – whose excess blocks ovulation – and TSH, because even subclinical hypothyroidism reduces the chances of conception and increases the risk of miscarriage. A complete panel performed in a single blood draw shortens diagnostics by weeks and allows for a conversation with a specialist based on concrete numbers, rather than assumptions. We particularly recommend it for women over 30, after a year of unsuccessful attempts (or after 6 months if over 35), before deferring motherhood, and for those with irregular cycles.
