Blood vitamin level testing
In the Scottish climate, vitamin D deficiency affects most adults, and B12 and iron deficiencies are a common cause of fatigue. Blood vitamin testing shows exactly what you're lacking, instead of guessing with supplements.

What we test
The most commonly requested vitamin and mineral tests can be done from a single blood draw — you can combine them with a full blood count or thyroid panel.
- Vitamin D (25-OH) — essential year-round in Scotland
- Vitamin B12 and folate — energy and the nervous system
- Ferritin, iron, TIBC — iron stores
- Magnesium, zinc, calcium — muscle function and immunity
When it's worth testing vitamins
In cases of chronic fatigue, hair loss, low mood, muscle cramps, a plant-based diet, after pregnancy, or before starting or changing supplementation.
Supplementation and your result
If you take vitamin D or B12, test before your morning dose, and stop biotin 48 hours before your blood draw. A mandatory £25 phlebotomy fee applies to every appointment (covers the blood draw, sample handling and transport to the laboratory).
